Take a look at this page:

Notice the words 'For Event Pages' under the slideshow.
Now look at any other page on this site and these words do not appear.... How can I remove these? Why are they there?

You have another module with a 404 image

So you need to disable this module

If you use module manager and use the position filter and then filter using the position "search"

I had intended to replace the main slideshow with a banner for the calendar and there was no corresponding image (must have deleted it)... so, the Search module position was trying to show TWO modules in the search position... I have unpublished the one causing the problem.
