Zentools2 content source K2 tags

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi folks, I want to create a ZT module with source K2 tags. Unfortunately it's not possible. I can select Joomla tags as a source, but I use K2 to build my content. Is there an opportunity to use K2 tags in the very near future?

Grtz,

Hi Dick,

I don't think so I'm afraid

We were waiting for the next major release of k2 before committing to any new k2 work on zentools2

If you wanted to purchase some developer time to add it that may be an option but I'm need to check on that if you were interested

Thanks for offering your help Paul, I'm afraid that I can't afford you. What is the forecast about a new release of K2? Have you heard about it?

Can I just check - how were you planning to use the k2 tags?

As filters?

That is very nice of you Paul! I want to use tags to filter articles related to a certain subject. As an example: a resort on Corfu is the item and in the sidebar of that item I want to show a slider with accommodation, restaurants et cetera in that area or village.
It is possible to do that with Joomla tags, but since I don't use Joomla content, I bneed it for K2. I can select K2 items and categories with ZT2, unfortunately not the tags :(

Hi

This is zenkit - is this an alternative to using zentools?

If this might be possible - can you advise me on the template you are using?

Or alternatively there is the zentools2 layout called "filter" - this does include the ability to filter using k2 tags but there isn't anything for slideshow in this regard I'm afraid

So to summerise there are two ways to create a filtered grid but no way to use k2 tags in a slideshow I'm afraid

Thanks again for your extended explanation and advise Paul, I appreciate it very much. I kinow about the example you linked to. Watch this: green-island.holiday/index.php/nl/vakantie-activiteiten
Unfortunately that's not what I'm looking for concerning the tag-filter I need. But I will check the option you suggested, the ZT filter thing. I'll keep you informed!

I tried the Filter you suggested, but there is no option to select K2 Tags as source. K2, K2 categories and K2 Authors, that's it...

I tried it, but the module gives an error:
No content found. Please refine your module content settings.
In the attachment you can see my settings.
I add a tag 'gordios' to some items that iI want to appear in the 'mother'-item named Agios Gordios. I gave that item the same tag. The only result is the error alas.

Are you selecting the categories that the k2 content is tagged in?

Yes. First I selected 2 categories, to be sure I skipped one and selected only one. Did I do the right thing with the settings?
