I thought that I posted this but I guess I did not. I am trying to put a module on a page whose menu item is in a hidden menu. Although it is published, it does not appear.. here is the page that an image is supposed to appear in the sidebar2 position but does not.

Attached is an image which shows that i have made the correct assignment to that page.

Hi Elizabeth,

With a module not displaying it normally means the hidden menu item isn't set up correctly or a url extension like sh404sef is causing problems

Looking at that link - do you have an SEF url rather than an itemid link?

I guess I must have made the hidden menu wrong.. That is the only link that I have.. I will look up how to make a hidden menu. Thank you for your help.

Hi Elizabeth,

You can add links to an existing menu but I still prefer using a new menu

So create a new menu with a relevant name e.g. hidden

Add links to this menu as normal

Don't create a menu module

You can find the sef url using the alias that Joomla automatically creates after saving the link
