You need to click the button and then install the sample data (which includes the template)

Siteground, the host, wonderful host, solved the problem. I had to go to the extension manager and click discover.. then clicked the template and then clicked the install button.. thank you for your help and I will contact you if I have any more problems.

OH NO!

I made the responsive2 template the default and then went to the front end home page and there was nothing there? No sample files.. not a thing.. this is getting very frustrating!

Please help!

Hi Elizabeth.

Itbsounds like the install joomlabamboo sample data wasn't enabled when you went through the install. I've heard reports that this isn't enabled by default in j3.4 which is probably the cause of the issue.

If you run through the install again and ensure its clicked the. All of the sample data and extensions will be installed.

Thanks.

Hi Elizabeth.

The step missed is clicking the stage in the picture I attached above with the arrow

If you click that button it will install both the sample data and template

Thanks

I did not have that option because Siteground installed the joomla installation for me.

Can you provide a tutorial for doing this myself with siteground so that all of the files get

installed. Their tutorials do not cross-reference installing on their servers your jump start

templates. I think that Siteground is the foremost host for joomla in the US.. I really need to

know how to do this because I have a huge client coming up and I would like to use one of
your templates and use Siteground as a host.

Assuming the host has installed a working vanilla copy of joomla, maybe JB could supply you copy of the quickstart in jpa that you could restore via akeeba backup core.

The quick files are already up on the joomla installation. I can see them from the remote portion of the site in Dreamweaver.

Please see the attached screen shot of remote server.

The Joomla installation, even though I have chosen responsive2 as the default template,
is not recognizing them

Please see the attached image

Thank you. Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth,

The image content is there but its not been added to site with the sample data step being missed

I'd suggest wiping the Joomla installation you have currently and re-install, making sure to click the sample data option so it installs the template, modules, sample content etc

Cheers
