Login form in Menu item

I would like to create a replica of the Login menu item just as in the Demo. How do I go about it?

Hi

You need the module created first via module manager and with a made up position name but assigned to all pages

Then you need to create a new link using the "menu header" link type from the systems link section (when choosing a link type)

I'm assuming at this point you have the zen menu plugin installed and enabled via the Joomla installer and plugin manager

Then in the menu link click the zen menu tab and then chose the module you previously created

I tried all your instructions, but it does not work. The front end either has Login Form permanently displayed and not as a dropdown. Or does not display at all.

I installed "Responsive Quickstart" to check out settings. Below are the settings

The only difference in Quickstart, it the Login Module position. Quickstart uses custom position - "menuposition" for this. I could not create this. Also Quickstart also does not have any module placed in ZenMenu

Hi there,
Sounds like you may have the grouped items option enabled. You also need to add the login module to a sub menua nd not the top level item.

Here is the link to the Zenmenu documentation:

Thank You for clarifying. It works now. The mistake I did was not creating a submenu item for Login and linked this to the login Module. The other thing I did was to use an Icon. Not sure if this helped.

Thanks
