Position of social-media icons

The template seems, as a default, to display social-media icons at the right side of each page.

Is there a straightforward way to, instead, have social-media icons appear within each article?

Hi Jim,

You can use the zensocial extension in a module position - is that an option?

I'd hoped to do it without an extension.
