ZEN Tabs text stacked

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello,
I have a strange problem, where I can not pinpoint the source... maybe you have an idea what I could do.

I am using the Ecolife Template at www.lehrmittelperlen.net/ and there I use the Zen tabs for displaying some texts from a defined category.

When reloading the page without cache, the second tab shows the text stacked under one another (see screenshot_56.jpg) or www.lehrmittelperlen.net/#module-91

Eventually this correct itself after some time or by reloading the page.

Thanks for any ideas where this problem could originate from.

Working with:
- Joomla 3.5.0
- PHP 5.5.28
- Ecolife 1.3.3 | Release Date: August 20 2015

P.s.: Please let me know if you need Admin access.

Hi

Have you tried disabling jch optimise to see if that is the problem?

It can cause js or issues

It seems to influence the problem although I receive it less, it still happens.

What would be the name of the .js for exclusion of jch?

Edit: I'll leave jch off for the moment but loading this particular tab takes really long, even when it stays blank at the moment.

Do you have any caching enabled as well? e.g. via Global config or the plugin or both?

Joomla cache is disabled and which plugin would I have to check for?

oh ok I missed that the text is actually a slideshow

This is problematic for a tabs position as it means javascript running inside javascript e.g. the slideshow needs to be triggered by a click

This frequently doesn't work well

I would try having the slideshow in the first tab e.g. loading by default on screen load

this gives it more chance to actually load correctly

Paul, this isn't a real solution, it might be a workaround which I will try, converting the text into images to see if it will improve.

The first tab must stay there as it is the most important, announcing changes on the site for the year to come.

Are there any plans to fix the problem?

Hi

Its not a bug as such its a general limitation of using js inside js

I would be surprised if images worked any better I'm afraid but is worth a quick test

Just a quick feedback...

Converting the text into images (png with max. 46kb size) does not solve the problem. When changing to the tab the images do no load. When flipping back and forth, with other tabs, then the 4 random images are loaded which still takes too much time.

Thanks for investigating into this matter.
