Bottom wrap position changes

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I'm testing Ecolife Quickstart 1.3, Joomla 3.4.0.

I've noticed that, when you open a link, the bottom wrap are sticked to the bottom of the page. When you click on "Back to Top" button, a gap in the bottom of the page appears. If you refresh the page, the gap disappears.

Sometimes, when you open a page a gap appears at the top of the bottom wrap. When you click on "Back to Top" button, also a gap in the bottom of the page appears.

It is as if the bottom wrap moves up and down.

It happens in all browsers. I don't know why. I've reinstalled the template and it always happens.

Sometimes, the bottom gap appears when you open a link, before clicking on "Back to top" button.

It always happens when you click on any of the links of the bottom wrap.

Oh, great! Suddenly the module position is printed right above bottom-3, and any refreshing erases it.

Hi there,

I have a fix coming for the space that appears at the bottom of the page. The issue relates to the equal heights script we use and I have a fix that just needs to be tested. This will be released on Monday.

I'm not sure what you mean by this though:
Oh, great! Suddenly the module position is printed right above bottom-3, and any refreshing erases it.

Can you send more info?

Is the site offline like the example in that thread?
Are you using the latest version of the template?

When the problem began, the site was local online. Later it happened either online or offline.

Yes, I'm using the latest version of the template.

No, the site is local.

I'm testing a clean installation: no parameters are changed.

Now the printed module position is gone.

Hi there,

Apologies for the delay.

I've tested it.

If the site is offline, the patch doesn't work. The printed position and the bottom gap appear.

If the site is online, on opening the page the bottom gap appears but the printed position doesn't. If you switch online/offline in Global Configuration, the printed position appears.

Testing again on Windows 8.1 (yesterday I've tested on W7), I've noticed that, if site is online, the printed position is gone, and the bottom gap appears; if you click on the "Back to top" button, the gap is gone until you open a link, when the gap is back.

If it's offline, the printed position appears and the bottom gap do the same as online. If you switch then from offline to online, the printed position still appears, and you must quit the browser and open it again.

Ah ok thanks - Ive just understood what you meant by printed position.

Are you able to reinstall the latest Zen Shortcode plugin? That will fix the issue of the text on the screen.

Thanks

I've tested it in Windows 7.

The printed-position text is gone both online and offline.

The bottom gap:

- Mozilla: it is gone online and offline

- Chrome/IE Explorer:
- if online, it is gone in front page; it appears (not always) on clicking a link, then it's gone if you click on "Back to top" button.
- if offline, it appears on opening any page, then it's gone if you click on "Back to top" button.

All browsers are updated.

When you say clicking a link do you mean when the page loads? Or if you click on a link in the page then it happens and then the page is redirected to the destination of the link?
Thanks

I mean I click on a link in the page, then the page is redirected to the destination of the link, then the bottom gap appears.

But it doesn't happen always. Sometimes you click on a link and there is no gap, then you click on the same link and the gap appears. It's a weird behaviour.
