slideshow position

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi,

at my test-website www.adwebsites.nl If you look at the "portfolio zakelijk" page, the foreground slideshow is half over the background slideshow and half over the solid colored background.

When I look at the Focus2 demosite, I see that every module is nicely placed/positioned over a background that match the size exactly. Every line part is furthermore ended with a small white line.

How can I change it, that my background slideshow and my foreground slideshow are nicely aligned ??

Regards,

Alain

Hi Alain,

Your site is looking like it's a standard menu rather than the templates one page menu

Are you planning to use the one page menu?

Hi there,
Developing the site was paused for a time..
I'm starting again now, but still having problems with the positioning and aligment of the elements/component.

When looking at the site (adwebsites.nl) take for example the menu-item "portfolio zakelijk"
Where are 2 slideshows. 1 in the background (which is fine) and 1 on the foreground.
The one on the foreground is located a little lower than is should be.
Between the menu and the top of the foreground slideshow there is a gap. What I don't understand is why is that gap there??

Hi,

You can reduce the size of the gap between the slideshow and the menu by adding the following to a custom.css file and adjusting the values:
.middle-row .zen-spotlight {
    padding: 100px 0 190px !important;
}

The 100px is the top padding and the 190px is the bottom padding.

Hi Rob,

I was looking for the file, trying to make your suggested change.
Unfortunately, I have no idea where this file is located??

Can you maybe help me with this?

YES, Got it!
found the location and made the change and it does what I wanted!

second question however... Can't this change be made without hacking the code??

Hacking which code?

You have added the style to the custom.css file - is that right?

HI Paul,

Hacking isn't maybe the correct word for this.
What I meant was that I wanted to create a page without typing code (in that .css file)

What I tried was exactly what was told:
-entering that piece of code in the css file.

At first (yesterday) it looked good! But I did not check all the pages of the website.
When I look at my homepage now, it absolutely doesn't look good!
(please take a look yourself!)

Is there no way of fixing my original problem (wide vertical gap) without typing code?
I have the feeling that there should be a way (changing code or css only brings new problems I suppose?)

Hope to hear from you!

Guys,

When trying different things, I discovered that the height of the background-slideshow is depending on the height (amount of filling) of the component that is visible in the banner position.
Is my finding correct? please let me know
If it isn't, please explain how it does work

Alain

Hi Alain,
Yes that's correct for this template. It's necessary because of the way that the multiple slideshows work on the page.

You can get around this by using the following css in your custom.css file:
#bannerwrap {min-height:100vh}
Thanks
