How to enable mobile hamburger menu

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

So I'm trying to a site over to v4 zengrid framework. I've a menu at the menu position and it displays fine. I've enabled 'off canvas' menu and the hamburger shows up. However, when I resize my browser down, the hamburger menu icon disappears as well menu text eventually disappears. Is there something else I"m suppose to be doing or missing?

Thanks

Hi

Can you check the shortcodes plugin does not load any font icon library

Then in the template theme tab > Font awesome > full library

Thanks for the quick response. I've verified the for font awesome, its loading full library. As for shortcode plugins, I'm not sure which specific settings you are referring to::

I have
Enabled Font Awesome Icons - ENabled
Load Font Awesome css - Load local version
Custom icon settings are blank
custom prefix - zen-icon zen-icon-
custom syntax - blank

Didn't seem to have much of effect. I did try changing the template menu setting for off canvas menu

Minimum WIdth Visible = navcollapse

That makes the hamburger appear when I resize the browser down until the menu text disappears. So that's a step forward. However, clicking on it doesn't do anything. As I read the docs, as long as I have a menu, it will automatically grab my menu to display? Or did I get that wrong, I need to create a module, or somehow point it to my menu?

That looks to be the problem, the javascript error is in the Jquery .on() function for adding listener for the mouse. Looked it up and it is only in version 1.7 and up. So the big question now is how to find who is loading this older version of Jquery. Just started diving into how that is done in Joomla, doesn't seem to be any consistent way to tell. Any advice would be appreciated.

Do you have any old extensions or plugins installed?

For example you can uninstall JBType - it is now replaced with the Shortcodes plugin

That was it JB Library - just unpublishing it got rid of the javascript errors. Going to uninstall. Thanks for the help, much, much appreciated.
