Content is displayed over content in another template-position after acivating lazy Load

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello,
I.m trying to speed up my website and I activated Lazy Load. But now the contant published in de Sidebar2 and Main Content position is overlapping the content in the Bottom positions. I tried fixing this by installing the latest edition of the Rasa2 template, but got an error: Installation of the template failed. Copy file failed.
(I guess this is a different problem.....)
Example:
hetnatuurhuis.nl/over-ons/onze-huisdieren
Example:
hetnatuurhuis.nl/het-tropisch-zoetwater-aquarium/het-tropisch-aquarium/voorkom-algen
It was worse on other pages and I had to fix this by adding breaks in the content.
Example:
hetnatuurhuis.nl/het-tropisch-zoetwater-aquarium/aquariumplanten
This is no real solution however.
Kind Regards,
Jos Frenken

Hi Jos,

Regarding the update - are the permissions set correctly?

Do you get the same if you try via the tmp directory?

Hello Paul,

Thank you for your quick response (as always... )
1) Restored permissions. Update succeeded -Thanks!- Problem with lazy load remains.
2) With lazy load disabled there are no problems

Kind Regards,
Jos.

Is it an option to target certain divs so that lazy load doesn't apply or does that defeat the object of using lazyload in the first place?

e.g. targetting elements in the sidebar using the template settings and excluding them

Hello Paul,

Excluding the pages that have problems with lazy load takes away the purpose of adding lazy load all together since those are the pages with al lot of images :( .
As I understand it (after searching the internet) the problem is the fact that the browser will build the page on screen before the size of all the images are known to it (because of the lazy loading). So the container in witch the images are published will be too small. This will show when you start scrolling down. When you leave the page to visit another website in a new tab and then return to it, the problem is corrected since the browser has now all the information relating to all the images. The container has now the correct size to hold them. (I hope this explanation makes sense  ...)
So far I haven't found a solution that works for me, so lazy load is still off.

Kind Regards,
Jos

Yes Jos

That is correct and one of the limitations of lazy load especially when used with a equal height script

I will need to check with Anthony about any suggestions for this

Regarding excluding pages I was more referring to excluding certain divs

so for example a specific module could be targeted to not lazy load e.g a zentools module perhaps
