Adding a Login Module as a menu item?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi there.

I'm extremely new to Joomla and am trying to get my head around a lot of the concepts. The first main issue is to add a login module to the Xero main menu?

My question is how does one show a module as a menu item (using the Xero template)?

Any tips are welcome!

Cheers,
Elfy

Hi Elfy,

You need the zen menu plugin installed and enabled

If this is the quickstart it will already be installed

Then you need the module created

Add a heading link to the menu

In the menu link there will be a tab called zen menu

Are you with me so far? - I can elaborate with pics on the steps so far

Hi Paul,

Yes, I feel a bit embarrassed by asking this but.... any chance of a more detailed instruction? Perhaps with a few pics?

I've got to the Zen Menu tab, but I've got myself a little confused..

I really appreciate any help.

Cheers,
Elfy

Hi Elfy,

Do you see the zen menu tab in the link?

Thanks Paul. Yes, now sorted. I actually had the menu item's parent item mistakenly set to Menu Item Root which was causing me grief.

All good now. Thanks again.
