content next to maincontent

Hi,

I just started with the Xero template and would like to know how I can show modules next to the maincontent on the right site. The module is loading in sidebar 2. In the template options tab layout the sidebar 2 is shown looking at the default positions.
The module is loaded below the main content and not on the right side.
What do I have to do to load the module on the right side of the main content?
Thanks.

Hi Dirk,

What module widths are you using? - for the main content and sidebar

Paul,
Ok. the module is loading on the right side now but I can't tell which change drove this.
The module on the right side is not using the full template width now. There is space on the right side of the right module.
The theme width I set to 980px.
I do not understand how I can change the width of the different positions. Maincontent is set to 8 and sidebar 2 on the right is set to 3. How can I change Maincontent to 9?
Thanks.

Hi Dirk,

The width in spans needs to add up to 12 - any more and columns will drop

Could you attach a screen of your layout tab?

I clicked once more and it is showing now 6 and 6 but as you see the maincontent Looks smaller than the sidebar2.

Do you know why it is behaving different each time?
Thanks.

Can I Change the column value manually? In a file or table?
Is it possible to have full width of the maincontent if no module is loaded into the sidebar?

Hi

First of all can you install the latest version - we did release a 1.0.7 version which contained a bug we then re-uploaded it shortly afterwards

Can you backup the and then install it

Can I just summarise the issue

You are using the 3 column layout and when one or two columns are disabled on that page you want the layout to collapse?

Can I also confirm that you have tried different layouts if you don't need three columns?

Cheers

I have downloaded 1.0.7 again and installed it again. To me it Looks the same.
In the maincontent area I need the sidebar right next to the maincontent. The Proportion should be something like 9 to 3.
I do not know if that is a 3 column layout for you. Where do I enable or disable columns?

Yes I have tried different layouts but I was not able to modifiy the proportions of positions as needed.

Hi

I think to reduce confusion are you able to create a ticket for the site?

Thanks
