Cannot chose menu item on main level on mobile device

Hi,

I just added a new menu item on the main level, with two sub-pages:
www.lsc-badhomburg.de

When accessing the new pages via browser: www.lsc-badhomburg.de/taunus-cup-2018 there is no issue.

Trying the same with my mobile phone (iPhone 6Plus), the menu is displayed fine. Once I try to access "Taunus Cup", all it does is opening / closing the sub-menu. But I have no way to chose the item itself. Trying the same in Chrome, simulating a phone, there is no such issue.

Can you reproduce this and do you have an idea how I could fix that?

Tx in advance,
Steffen

Hi Steffen,

What template version number do you have installed?

What framework version is enabled?

What Joomla version are you running?

Can you try something for me

Can you try changing the link type of one of the parent links to separator or menu header

trying both to see if either work

Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul,

after a long time, I am finally sitting on this issue again. I am not sure what you want me to do. I did not mention that I am using K2. Maybe this also has some influence?

All I could do to the link type is adding an attribute or CSS settings.

The menu type itself is "article".

Cheers,
Steffen

Hi Steffen,

I was wondering if you can test with the parent link changed from an article to a separator and test as a heading link type

With the existing parent link item added as a new link in the dropdown

Cheers

Hi Paul,

I think, I did what you wanted me to. As soon as it is not an entry on the highest menu level, it works. I can open up sub-levels or open the related link. I created an example here:

test.lsc-badhomburg.de/

"Fliegen" is now a sub-menu of "Test Header". It used to be on the main menu level. While I do have the functionality now on "Fliegen", it is obviously not on the correct level anymore...

If you want to play around with it, I can create you an account on our test machine.

Cheers,
Steffen
