First image load issue

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

On the staging link below, the first image loading in the ztools banner slideshow doesn't span the page - only on the first image change (whether via autoplay or click). This happens whether the instance is set to load JQuery or not. Load order would be first except I cannot uninstall the old JBMaps from the module list though the module folders and assets don't actually exist on the site.

Do you have lazy load loading from the effects tab?

Guess I should I turned it off at an earlier stage because it was interfering with something else.

My comment was backward - I turned it off at an earlier stage, and until your helpful observation, had forgotten to turn it back on. :)

Lazyload can cause problems - its a normal method of attack with images either turn it on or turn it off :)

Actually, that only solved the problem on some browsers. Adding some code to the head of the document seems to have fixed it:

Toggling lazyload wasn't working in Firefox.

I found this solution from following threads by other joomla and wordpress users with the same problem.

it stems from the lack of both a width AND height declaration to the image being loaded first, so it defaults to invisible (at least in FF Mac). This fixed the issue for me on three sites.
