Problem on quickstart version ?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello,

If I go there :
www.stage12.univ-montp2.fr/

It seems I've not a recent php version, but :
www.stage12.univ-montp2.fr/phpinfo_UM2_251722.php

Seems 5.3.3 to me, so good enough...Am I wrong ?

Thanks !

Hi

php version 5.3.3 isn't good enough for Joomla 3.3

5.3.10 + is the minimum

The joomla technical requirements are here

Forgot to include that :)

So are you using 5.3.1 ?

You will be stopped from updating any J3 site to J3.3 - I'd expect weird behaviour if installing directly a J3.3 version

We are using 5.3.3 , but 5.3.3 is below 5.3.1 (which is different from 5.3.10).
I know we need to move on a more recent version, I won't use Joomla 3.3 in that case.

The thing is updating from lower version leads to 3.2.4 which is compatible, but I can't install directly the latest version, nor your quickstart at the moment...

Joomla will stop you installing 3.3 as you don't meet the minimum server spec

I will need to talk to anthony about the quickstart package but I don't think we can support two different versions of it

You will be able to install the empty template without a problem

Hi

I'm afraid we aren't going to be able to offer quickstart packages at older versions of J3

Its not feasible for us to maintain two packages till the November cut off

I believe the switch to stop updates of Joomla versions on unsuitable hosting platforms is in place to November

The host should really be looking to update if they are serious about supporting Joomla

Good luck with it
