Problem with KML layer

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello,
I am encountering a problem with the display of a KML layer in Maps2, this file was displayed correctly until a few weeks ago (..and still appears correctly in my Google Map account).

Has anything changed in Google Map API that Maps2 can no longer read?

Here is API that was active on my Google Account:
Google Maps JavaScript API

... and here are the other two APIs that I activated, but didn’t yeld any results:
Google Maps Geocoding API
Google Maps Geolocation API

Do you think I need to activate another API in Google?

Thank you

Lorenzo

Hi Lorenzo,

What version number of the module are you using?

Hi,

I've just checked your KML file on Build.r quickstart installation and can't see the problem. Please check the screenshot.

Hello and thank you for the support ... and welcome to the Joomlabamboo community :)

... so it's even more a mystery since Google API request is done correctly.

On my test site (which is the replica of the live site) you can see that kml file is loaded correctly, same for API key which is correct.

Honestly I don’t know where to look :pinch:
I thought JCHoptimize plugin and Admintools component could be the cause of my problem, but even disabled and uninstalled the problem persists...

Any other idea?

Thank you

Lorenzo

Do you have a dev site you can test on?

Hello Paul,
I reported the link of my dev site in my last post, maybe you need back-end and ftp access (do I have to open a support ticket)?

Thank you

Hi Lorenzo,

Please open new ticket with your website backend and FTP, then we'll be able to check the issue.

Could you also check any other KML file, like this one?
googlemaps.github.io/js-v2-samples/ggeoxml/cta.kml
(Chicago from googl docs: developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/layer-kml)

Cheers

Hello Joshua,
I guess that trying with another kml file implies also changing latitude and longitude fields in Maps2 module?
Anyway the file you provided me seems to give no results ... I opened a ticket.

Thank you again
