Hi!

I would like to update my JB templates and extensions like Zentools to use some new features, but i'm afraid of losing what has already been made.

I'm using Zentools 1.10.6, JB Revision 1.2.3 and Joomla! 3.2.3.

Is it ok to simply install in the extensions manager, as if it had never been installed?

Any other suggestion?

Hi Gustavo,

Template wise its depends which template you are using - T3 templates its as you say just install as normal (over the top of the existing files)

Zengrid templates its a bit different

Extensions you install the same as T3 - just using the normal installer and overwrite the existing files

Just one thing to mention. If you want to keep the settings configured for a specific extension you want to update, be sure to install newer version of the extension on top of already installed extension. Don't remove the old version first. Installing on top of the old version will keep the configuration
