Slideshow. The slideshow is an instance of the Zentools module using the slideshow layout. The demo draws images from a folder and the links are assigned using the external link function in the zentools module. The settings to recreate the layout for the slideshow can <strong>bee</strong> seen in the screenshots below.

Please note that there are currently some issues with preparing K2 Joomla 2.5 quickstrat packages due to a change int he wauy that Joomla handles the user id. Because the user id is randomly generated during the installation process you will receive an error messsage stating that a user can not be found.

The fix for this issue is to edit the K2 items and assign the Super User as the author for that item. Unfortunately this needs to be doen for each K2 item but once done the package will be fixed.

The fix was easy ... but finding it was hard. The fix was really just down to the inbuilt Joomla cache plugin that somehow was breaking the user session somewhere between the Community Builder and AEC (our subscription component) handshake. The fix was to go to the plugin manager and disable the cache plugin. That was easy.

In the panic, Id forgotten about the cache plugin and in hindsight should have noted the changes Id made in the event that I need to roll them back. Not sure Ill do this next time I start tweaking - but its a good idea nonetheless.

Interestingly I couldn't see any fixes or mentions of the cache plugin for the few forum posts that I encountered with this issue so Im hoping that this may help some of you. The forum posts I did encounter, pointed to deeper issues with sef url rewriting but this was what fixed my situation.

Smarter minds than mine might be able to get this to work but for the moment Im happy with using the CSSJS Compressor for file caching.

Once an item has been featured then the list element nad the item are given a new class called .featured.

File names with spaces in the them are notoriously problematic to process. The + character is used int he Zentools module to namespace a non breaking space in the module output to get around instances where servers won't process filenames with spaces in the title.
