Forum search function anomalies

When I was trying to search the forum for a solution I imagine is common (why doesn't my module appear in the Base3 off-canvas sidebar?, search term 'off-canvas') I get 24 hits, fine. But (only) five appear. When I click the 'next' button, my search is cleared and I am instead presented with a start a new search page instead of the next five.

And now that we're on the subject, could we increase the number of returned titles, maybe 10 or 20 per page?
