jTweet for J1.5 is not showing tweets

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

jTweet for J1.5 has stopped showing tweets. This is also the case on the Joomlabamboo website at: www.joomlabamboo.com/joomla-extensions/jtweet-free-joomla-twitter-module.
What can be done to fix it?

Greetings,
Karin

Hi Karin,

Can you confirm you are using the latest version (2.0.4 for J1.5 released oct 25th). If not, does upgrading fix the problem?

Rob

I was sure I was using the latest version: 2.0.4. because I installed it this morning, but I checked after your question and saw that the version number had not been updated in the Module Mananger.
To make sure I just uninstalled the previous version of jTweet and installed 2.0.4. but now I have a different problem, the version is absent in the Module Manager and when trying to create a module with it the Module parameters are not available.
I will include two screenshots.

The website I am working on is www.aardehuis.nl/

Hi,

Looks like you module has a broken xml file. Can you try installing the latest version again over the top of the old on using the joomla extension installer and see if the parameters are then back.

FYI I'm running into the same problem. I was using an older version of jtweet and it stopped loading my tweets. So I tried to install the latest version (using both a downloaded file as well as a URL [www.joomlabamboo.com/download-document/213-jtweet-j15]) and now I cannot see the version number in the component list. Neither can I edit any parameters.

I have just downloaded the latest version and tested this again and it seems to be working fine for me.

If you view the xml file in your site does it look ok? ie, not all squashed up on to one line.

A quick scan of the XML file looks fine to me. 124 lines, all spot-checks I've done seem to have matching open/close tags, etc. (Running Joomla! 1.5.26 Stable [ senu takaa ama busani ] 27-March-2012 18:00 GMT, PHP 5.2.6, database 5.0.95-log )

When I installed the extension it definitely gave me a message indicating the installation was successful...

Any other ideas I can check?

I installed the extension again, over the first installation. It doesn't solve the problem unfortunately.
The xml file looks fine, I can't see anything abnormal in it.

This file seems the same but it is not; the extension is now working properly!
I will definately keep it very safe for other websites to install.
Thanks very much! :)
