Paul... I can't open a ticket. blank-ish page.

Because I don't have a membership?
I can email you credentials if you'd prefer.

ah sorry must be tired than I thought

Basic memberships lose forum / ticket access once memberships expire

Using the JB Maps forum works as the module is free

Yes you will have to email me there is no other way

hmm I have looked

You have an odd error in there

At the moment I'm not sure why this error has cropped up

You did have a much older version installed but it hasn't made any difference unfortunately

Hi Paul,

Odd... I had installed from a version I downloaded from the JB website.

What do you suggest?

Not much at the moment

There are two problems here

1. the front end of the site should not be displaying the marker as disabled in module
2. the admin error in the marker code which I can't replicate

With the site being hosted siteground are you running any of their caching?

Paul, you're brilliant!

I turned off SG's caching (SuperCacher)... and I could see all fields of the module. I could then change the url of the marker... and get full SSL reported on the site.

I turned the cache back on... all is well.. and I can still see the module fields.

Why would SG's cache cause the behaviour we observed?

Siteground caching although useful should always be turned off when you make changes to a site

I think you may have used supercacher in conjunction with a higher level caching option

Supercacher at default is ok but annoying

If you turn an other levels you need to test everything

Always either flush or disable if changing anything

OK. Thanks for the tip Paul. I've seen issues with it working on other sites but never something quite like this... where parts of the module/plugin had vanished. Hence, I didn't think of going there. Thanks to you... fixed!

Cheers!

I hope Joomla comes out soon (real soon) with something that has turned up on WP - a SiteGround Supercache manager which is accessed from the WP template admin, including a big, fat 'purge SG cache' button.

I'm not 100% sure as I've never enabled it but I think

Memcached Option was enabled

I could be wrong - I should have checked the configuration file as well as the system information

This would need to come from Siteground I think

They do have a different caching extension but I must admit I don't like it much - jSGCache

I've seen a few extensions break when it is installed both Joomla Bamboo stuff and other extension providers

Also, causes problems when people turn it on and then move the site

I do use cache cleaner from regular labs for jch optimiseand joomla caching but this isn't relevant :)
