Mootools conflict caused by JBLibrary plugin

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I use the RSJoomla RSEvents pro and the component experiences problems: if the 'load more' button is clicked to display more events then the events are duplicated, resulting in a very long list of events which is a pain to look at.

The problem is caused by the JBlibrary plugin, which seems to load Mootools twice on the page thus when you click the "Load more" button, instead of a single request, two requests were made for loading more events, thus generating the duplicate issue.

I have tried the different mootools settings in the jblibrary plugin but not with a good result.
Any solutions?
The problem is on this page:

thanks

What version of jblibrary are you using?

This was an issue on older versions

Thanks

Hi

You are several versions behind - there was a fix in 1.2.6

docs.joomlabamboo.com/joomla-extensions/jb-library-changelog

Can you update the plugin

Thanks

Yes I tried upgrading the plugin a few months ago, but my site broke during installation leaving me with no access to my admin and a small heart attack :/
I fixed it with help of my hosting company, but it was not very pleasant.
So I'm not very keen on messing around with it again.

Can you guarantee that the upgrade will succeed?
Should I upgrade to 1.2.6 or directtly to the latest version?

Thanks
Benoit

I'm afraid no one can guarantee anything when it comes to updating as there are just to many factors involved.

Always take a backup of the site before upgrading so if anything should happen you can revert to the backup. Akeeba backup is a simple component for backing up a joomla site.

Having said that, you should be fine to upgrade.

If you run into any problems you can always open a support ticket and we will try and help you out as quickly as possible.

I use Akeeba and take regular backups, as good practice dictates.

It's just annoying if the site breaks and takes up valuable time.

Finally, I cannot open a support ticket anymore as my membership has expired.

Ok, I took the chance and upgraded the plugin with success :)

The problem with loading mootools twice has now been resolved.

thanks!
