The JB website and forum have a very clean, clear appearance but this forum seems to be rather narrow on the screen. Am I right to assume this has been selected to make it viewable on smaller devices? Thanks.

From memory the design decision was made just because having the sidebar on the forum view is helpful.

It's not yet optimised for mobile but my hope is that it soon will be

Yes, the sidebar does look good. I guess you have to balance one thing against another!
