Trying to figure out what I can do to help speed up my site. I have scaled down all the images, but still seems slow on load. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes that's super slow.

The ping to first asset load time was just 4 seconds for me.

But the page size isn't really too bad.

Do you have any other sites on the server?
Do they have the same issue?
Caching will help but that's more like a band aid solution.
Do you get the same or similar results with other templates?
Perhaps try unpublishing some of the modules on the page?
Have you added any extra plugins?

I have one other domain, the CT (ct.nwexoticvet.com/jooml30) and it has similar page performance. I don't have any extra modules added. I do have cache enabled in Joomla.

Should I consider possible enable Apache compression aswell?

This looks like a hosting problem to me.

There is a long time to the first byte of every page asset.

If the hosting is underpowered then consider turning off Joomla's cache.

Try adding the attached rules to the bottom of your .htaccess file.
