I've got several problems with the hoverbox module.

JPEG Problem
When I use the hoverbox for a gallery with jpeg images in it, I get an «500 internal Server Error». The error appears when I go to the Site with the images on it.
(It worked with jpeg images a few months ago but since I reinstalled the module, it doesn't work anymore.)

Thumbnails Problem
The resizing of the images for the thumbnails doesn't work always correctly. Sometimes the modules are resized correctly and sometimes they are not.

Yes they load. The hover images are the problem.

All hover images should have the same size. Actually they haven't all the same size even though they have the same size declared in the module settings.

I know now how to solve the problem:
Use only .png images, otherwise it won't work.

With using pngs are you familiar with

tinypng.com/ ?

Good for reducing file size

I'm familiar with the whole adobe master collection.
Yes I know how to get a .png smaller .

I have a workflow which automatically reduces the image size. I would never use a tool where I first would have to upload my images. (Or would have to use plugins, which probably do not support batch processing)

It's fine for me, it's not a problem anymore. But just for your information:

Hoverbox has troubles with .jpg imageges.

Yep it does compress better than default photoshop and fireworks - although the file will look terrible in photoshop in that png file format
