Joomla Contact Form in Content - impossible?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Have drawn a total blank and maybe it will remain this way

I'm wanting to insert a standard Joomla Contact Form inside an article.
I don't want to send people to another page where that form is.

My memory may be failing me but I figured I'd done this previously but I seem to now have memory issues.
Is the only solution to install an additional form component/module?

Context:
An article providing information about an offer to subscribe at X% discount.
Reader completes form and redirects to a thank you page.
Email goes to autoresponder which emails them with a discount code and link to site to make payment.

Thanks

Hi Andrew,

This isn't something I've done - I do myself use the rs forms commercial extension

Rob uses the Chronoforms extension on his sites

We either use loadposition to load the form in a module or use plugin syntax

Thanks Paul

I'm all for the minimal at present.
Was hoping I could do what I wanted without yet another install, looks like that's a no <sigh>

I'm sure there is an extension somewhere that can add the component to the page but I've never used one

I think I've only ever used the contact component itself once I think as I've always found it inflexible

But do agree with your sentiment on being minimal with installations

Hi

Here is a way to add in components to articles, Peter's extensions are well developed and supported although I have never had need to use this one personally.

www.regularlabs.com/extensions/componentsanywhere

Although if you are adding another piece of kit then it may as well be a form component. The core Joomla one works fine but does not offer much flexibility.

Hi Andrew

An alternative approach without adding anything could be to create the contact form from core Joomla with a menu item to display the form.

Then use a custom html module positioned above the component view of the form to provide the explanation and general text.

If I am understanding your requirement from the initial post this should work!
