Hi

Virtually finished a grid site - it can be found @ paulburndredphotography.co.uk

Still got a snag list to complete and re-write the content using my copywriter but its now live but not submitted to search engines yet.

Had problems with photo sizes as you can see and now I just need to start taking some better pics

Cheers

Two snags I'm looking at - disappearing end body tag from html and opera with its issues with the slider e.g. it ignores many of the slider modules

Anthony - see what you mean about font rendering - google font was really the only option and the Tangerine font struggles on IE - is it the fact that I put drop shadow on it?

Hi Paul,

Can you please try switching the analytics position to before the closing header tag? It is an option in the template settings, under scripts and extras, analytics.

Missing the closing body tag will give you issues for sure...

It should be in the template settings under:

'Scripts and Extras' > 'Analytics'

an option where to insert the analytics code. Isn't this where you placed the analytics code I can see on your site?

Hey Paul,

You are right that the original grid doesn't use the framework but you should just use the analytics module for that.

The closing body tag is int he index file so not quite sure whats going on there. Perhaps try the debug module position see if that fixes it.

Suspect the code I added for the fade effect could be wrongly added by me - can you have a look at this section?

"jQuery(".prettydiv1 img").fadeTo("slow", 1.0); // This sets the opacity of the thumbs to fade down to 60% when the page loads"

missing a bracket or something perhaps?

Id try putting the original file back if you've made changes. Take a backup of what you have now and then put the index.php file form the zip to see if that fixes it.

I've tested it on xampp on my local machine using the original index file and it gets rid of the syntax error
but still no closing body tag and opera still doesn't show the majority of the slider modules

if I put the tag in again e.g. two closed body tags it picks up the second and validates successfully

I don't understand at all what's happening! - also opera still not rendering slide modules correctly despite validating - makes me think I'm doing something dim somewhere in the slides but I can't spot it

Many apologies Paul, I somehow interpreted Grid as Grid2. Mea culpa...

You replaced your index.php with one from a fresh download right?

I copied and pasted from a fresh download over the top of the old
Is that sufficient?

Probably.

But to be 100% sure I would FTP in, delete the existing file, then upload the new one.
