They speed up performance as they reduce the amount of server requests

Given the amount of files it should help with old browser issues

And I don't like the look of the mobile site by the way. Is there anything I can do about it? My articles under Ploegen don't look good for example.

I'll change the image in the sidebar just to make sure.

Using tables is always a problem - you have a fixed width in there
659px so when it resizes below that it breaks the layout

You can try percentages inside but it depends on the content
