How to change the default editor?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I don't mean "where do I go to change the default editor?"

I mean that after I change it, it doesn't work.

I try to select another editor in the global config, but when I go to content management and click on an article the previous editor is still default.

No matter what editor I select as default, only "JCE Editor" appears for use.

Any one else get this? Any fixes or work-arounds?

[Problem is happening in the Start_Blogging_1.1.1 version of Joomla, not a regular install of Joomla]

[And it happens in back-end/administrator side, not in front-end of site, but I would like the editors to be synced in front and back if possible]

Post edited by: learwbc, at: 2007/05/27 17:17

The administrator has disabled public write access.
Hi there,

At first guess I imagine you need to change the editor for the user you have created or modified. In the default setup the user Anthony has the JCE editor set as his editor rather than default. I think that will be the issue ...

Please let me know if that is what the issue is ...

I thought that setting only affects the front end editor, but it affects the back end editor as well. Yes, that was the problem. It's solved now. Thanks.
