Which Blog extension does joomlabamboo use?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I quite like the design of your Bamboo Blog page, and I have been asked by a client to implement a blog.
Is it something you make available to download (your extension), or implemented some other way (third party extension or K2).
If you could let me know, I'll start chasing it.
Thanks.

Hi,

The blog is using the standard k2 component with a custom template.

You could use zenkit to achieve something very similar. You can see the demo here: zenkit.joomlabamboo.com/zenkit-layouts/blog

Thanks for that. I managed to upload Zenkit and get it all working but...
There seems to be a little conflict between the K2 login module and the blog template (see attchment).
When 'Kate' logs in, you see the messy 'edit' link at the top of the page; and although she has rights to add content, there is no "Add content" anywhere (I think there was when I did not use the blog K2 template.
Is it some setting somewhere that is upsetting this, or perhaps I need to use another of your templates (I'm using Zenbase).
Any suggestions, greatly appreciated.

I've been staring at this site for a week and have not noticed this. Could you send me a link to a page where this occurs so I can see it?

The modal popup is a conflict between bootstrap and k2

The tooltip is a glitch on the Less file

I'll check now where we are with this

Thanks,
I followed the instructions from the link you provided and did this:

We agree with @locii that those fixes should be placed in K2 or Joomla (2.5).
Joomla 3.0 already change 'modal' to 'modal-button'

Here how you can fix for K2.
1. Copy k2.css from /components/com_k2/css/k2.css to your /templates/[yourtemplate]/css/k2.css
2. Upgrade class for a.modal

#k2Container a.modal {
border: 0px;
display: inline-block;
margin: 0 10px 0 0;
position: relative;
top: auto;
left: 0px;
width: auto;
-webkit-border-radius: 0px;
-moz-border-radius: 0px;
border-radius: 0px;
-webkit-box-shadow: 0 0 0 0;
-moz-box-shadow: 0 0 0 0;
box-shadow: 0 0 0 0;
}

Note: You can use this css selector #k2Container a.modal or any specific css selector .k2UserBlock .k2UserBlockActions a.modal

I'm not certain what is required of me to fix the issue.
I followed the instructions and copied the k2.css file to my template, then I cut the above css code and pasted it to the bottom of the k2.css file.
Things don't really seem to have changed on my website. At least now 'add item' appears (on top of the larger Edit button).

This is all getting too hard. Perhaps you can recommend a free blogging extension that bypasses all this hassle?

I did this and the suggestion was to update to the latest Zenkit version. Is there a later version to the one presently available to download, because that is the one I am using.
