I'm with Brandon. And I still have trouble finding out how to fix a
template if an installation doesn't go to plan (modules in the wrong place for example). I stumbled across the additional information contained in the live demo's for example but I'm still trying to sort out what
module goes where and how to install the Sliding Superfish menu. It says 'refer to the additional documentation found on this site for correct set up ' (or something like that) but no hint where that information is - I couldn't find it with search either.. but because I'm still trying to get the modules in the right place I have given up trying to sort out the menu for now. I had to install joomla via Fantastico so couldn't use the quickstart so maybe things would have gone smoother that way.
I think its one of those thing where once you have figured out what information is where and get a feel for how your
templates have been designed/developed you will go Ahhhh! as it all falls into place, trouble is when you have a site to design for a client you want to get to that point right away. I have used Pixelparadise up until now and found I could have the templates installed and ready to be customized in no time - the templates my not have a lot of the additional files but the documentation contained in the downloads is excellent.
So for me I just want to find the info I need quickly and simply so I can get everything up and running in no time, that way I can start tearing it apart and changing things to suit my clients needs as soon as possible. I think as web designers or developers, we all acknowledge that installations can go wrong, permission can get messed up, files gets corrupted during ftp, you keep missing something that is right under your nose, you put a " instead of a ' or a / instead of a \ .. it just one of those things, but the thing that gets you through that is good clear instructions - designed to be read by idiots (even if we never read them and still send you emails when the information is on page 1 in red 18 point type).
That said, again, fantastic, site, fantastic service, fantastic templates - thank you.
