Another great little OSX app is called Paparazzi. Its basically a browser screen capture software that is very flexible, intuitive and easy to use. Just navigate to the browser page you want to capture, set the dimensions of the page or how you want to crop it and then press capture. The resulting images are 100% accurate to Safari's view point and can be saved in .png format.

Panic have just released the Coda code and design interface and it has got a lot of promise. It plugs itself as an all in one designing platform and I think that as far as web design goes its certainly got most of the bases covered but really needs a few tweaks to make it a app of choice.

Add text to the show parameter category.

Generally if you choose to show the category name under the content that's what it does - but in the april Bamboo Loaded Blog package I wanted to add some text to the category name listed under each article in the same way that you can see it on some other blogging platforms like wordpress etc. So I realised that its actually pretty easy to insert some text such as "posted in" or "filed in" before the category name.

2Checkout has checked out ...

After some initial excitement at offering a second payment option here at Joomlabamboo (2 Checkout) and having it work smoothly for the first sale, we've just had our second sale and it was a fraudulent order. If we were selling physical goods it might not be an issue but we are not. So after the sale has been made and put in the pending category the user still gets access to our catalogue.  Then after three days of waiting, using and abusing the payment is declined and the user has the goods. Just a word of warning for anyone thinking about using this option on their site - dont!

Sticky Tabs - Review

sWhile this app is not at all joomla related I thought I would post a quick review of Sticky Tabs for OSX.

Its a simple tool that basically allows you to stick tabs on the side of the screen by dragging the application window across to the screen edge - any edge. While I love using expose to help me navigate through the multitudes of windows I have open when Im working this little tool is really very handy, because it means that your desktop can remain uncluttered and still have all the apps that you are using open on the desktop.

Im sure that this is what the new spaces element in Leopard is going to be but for now this gets my two thumbs up. Its shareware and only $14.95 which is really not too much given the time you will save not sifting through your desktop.

This is a quick tip on how to add the smoothscroll javascript functionality to your site. Smoothscroll is a really neat relatively unobtrusive javascript that gives the effect of scrolling between anchor points within your web page. We like the ffect because it gives the reader/visitor a more organic, dare we say “interactive”, feel and delivers a more engaging surfing experience.

This is a basic tutorial for new Joomla users. It shows you how to create hyperlinks to other articles in joomla and external sites using the JCE wysiwyg editor. We recommend that you use this editor with the advanced link plugin ... it makes life alot easier when finding links to content items.
