In the tradition of end of year wrap ups I asked the JB team to put together some of the highlights for their work and personal life in 2009. While I asked everyone to contribute Jeremy, Barabara and myself were the only ones to actually put some fingers to keyboard; Jason was too busy snorkelling in crystal blue waters off the Australian east coast, Seth was too busy having an extended christmas/birthday, Ed was still eating christmas turkey and Rikard got lost in the Norwegian snow :)

2009 Highlights

Jeremy - @gnomeontherun

1. This year I took my personal business from an on the side web development service to a full time business.
2. I’ve been able to experiment and develop an extension using the Nooku Framework, a rapid development framework for Joomla!
3. One of the greatest things related to Joomla this year is the explosion of new extensions, especially CCK extensions, that have really expanded the features of Joomla.

Barbara - @afieryphoenix

1. Moving into the 4th year of my own business means I have successfully negotiated the danger of third year complacency.

2. I have run training courses in the Joomla backend admin functions for both online shops and bespoke systems, creating more Joomla based sites for clients this year than previously.

3. I was invited to join the Joomlabamboo boys. It is very pleasing to be approached by respected members of your own industry – thanks for noticing….

1. Top on my list is a pretty personal one - birth of my third daughter - Matilda Violet. She is a real sweety.

2. A major highlight for me has been the growth of the Joomlabamboo team. This time last year Joomlabamboo pretty much consisted of just myself, but now the team and community has grown incredibly and I feel pretty humbled by that.

3. I would have to say finally relaunching the JB site was a pretty amazing experience and saying good bye to the old one was like saying goodbye to an old faithful (though very worn out) pair of shoes.

3. The Zen Grid Framework and Templates Snapshots also represent a pretty major milestone in terms of our workflow and speed of template development.
